Yeah! But I’d want like, a hint of things you’ve enjoyed in the past to make sure I’m not off-base/giving you things you’ve read already.

Yeah, it’s a bummer. Alibris is a decent alternative, though.

big library sale in the area coming up -- I'm so stoked. always buy for the store but then also end up finding way too much stuff for myself. one of the days I look forward to most in the year.

Hey abs! I'm either too new or stupid to figure out PMs, but I'm looking for William Goldman novels and, in June, the new AM Homes collection. I'd also be down for book club if that happens. Thanks so much, this is great!

hi! I think you have too few posts to PM, if I recall the system. I will report back on the Goldham when I'm in work on Sunday.

most definitely new to me! as corny as it sounds, one of the most exciting things in consuming any type of art is to explore avenues that you would not have on your own. thank you for the time and effort to do this, really makes me happy :)

hey abs,
kind of an odd request, and i totally understand if this is completely outside the wheelhouse of thread if you want to ignore this:
i received word today from Dzanc Books that it would be ~$60 USD (international shipping - ~$35, book itself - $25) to ship their new edition of Joseph McElroy's Women and Men to me in Montréal, as they don't have an international distributor for the new edition apparently.

is there any small possibility of a chance that you could ship it to me for less than $35 USD?
if so, i would gladly buy the book from you!
thanks,
riper

hey! so not being distributed widely in the US... seems hard to track down, and not out until the end of may anyway.

but i contacted dzanc to ask for an ARC, so i will let you know if i hear back from them -- in which case i'm sure it'll be less than $35 to ship out.
