it's really boring (i fell asleep for a bit), not funny, they create this lame sentimental backstory for the grinch, they aged cindy lou who by about 4 years, and i dunno whats up but they got a few black actors to do voices but made their characters white? felt weird

i think i felt about this movie how the true og grinch feels about xmas

boy oh boy I can't wait to see my grinch
I haven't gone to see it yet because I've got a cold and I want to be AT FULL HEALTH to properly enjoy this instant classic

I know that so far it seems like ya'll think it's bad, but maybe you just need to think about it for a few days and let it's goodness gestate

Maybe if it gets a sequel it could be A meta telling of Grinch going back to save the structure of the preceding movie

I was getting a glass of water last night and saw the Grinch trying to hot-wire my Honda Fit. I asked him what he was doing and he said one of my taillights was out so he was going to take it back to his garage to fix it and then bring it back. Seemed legit. Car still missing tho.

the only way you're getting the car back is if you get your whole village to sing xmas carols together

I saw it and then slipped into a deep (unrelated) depression immediately afterward and never updated the thread.

Here's what I remember: I cried during the opening scene because I really like Christmas decorations. I felt like the Cindy-Lou plot and the Grinch plot weren't tied together enough. I like the implication that Cindy-lou's mom is going to enter a romantic relationship with the Grinch because he does dishes and stuff. I like that the Grinch wore a tie- I don't think I've ever seen the Grinch wear a tie before and it was refreshing.

It kind of felt like it was a Megamind movie rather than a Grinch movie, but maybe that's okay.
