I can't forget these forgettable 90s alt rock bands

Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying
Fake computer crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion shoots with Beck and Hanson
Courtney Love, and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come around
We'll kick your ass in

During the same era described on the previous page I habitually stole promo CDs from issues of Melody Maker at the UIUC music library, which were mostly full of awful flavor-of-the-week UK alt bands. this is one that really embedded itself in my mind for some reason:

this song is still great, surprised it's only at about 500k views

Mighty Joe Moon is one of my favorite albums. Great band.
The laughing jumbo of Europe's gay spots.

it does!

one funny thing about Self is that they were caught in that period when mp3-sharing was blowing up but before Weezer's green album came out, when every mp3 that vaguely sounded like Weezer was labeled as such, as if they had a secret album they were holding out on all their fans.

Huh. This sounds like Aimee Mann Save Me. Also, this seems to be a cut above everything else in here?

Grant Lee Buffalo's frontman Grant-Lee Phillips is probably best known as the wandering troubadour who occasionally pops up in Gilmore Girls
