So I can go to Whole Foods now? I really had an itch for the things they do better than Trader Joe's.

Even avoiding visiting the Amazon-owned IMDB, which is tough because I love to read movie quotes and goofs.

Amazon owns wide swaths of the internet. Even sites they don't own use their web services. Numero Group's digital files are hosted there, for instance.

I haven't bought anything from Amazon since Christmas because my wife wanted a friggin Kindle - but outside of that I don't think I've used the site in over a year 8-)

I've definitely used one of their thousands of subsidiaries, though. :(

It has been something watching various Gizmodo-owned blogs share posts about boycotting Amazon while their Kinja ecomm side is advertising the best Prime Day deals.
