Saw Cindy Lee in Montreal last weekend. All new stuff, lip-synched vocals with backing tracks and Pat playing very loud noise guitar all coming through a single amp. Can't wait for new recordings.

mm. into that.
saw Cindy Lee live a few nights ago. Lots of new material, all lip-synched but he'd occasionally overdub with live guitar (or mime it)
I really love how confident yet delicate the whole thing is.

or wait... yeah it's not as good as "public strain" but it's a cool take on it without totally stealing the sound. sounds like women with a lil stereolab and deerhunter's keyboard flourishes or something

of these two new flegel-core releases I'm coming back to The Hecks a lot more often. My Star is so addicting. just a riff and a dream.

Need to check out the Hecks I guess. Was pretty stoked for the new Corridor but I didn’t think it was as good as their first

i'm gonna give this one a listen now i think. i appreciate that pitchfork mentioned christopher reimer in there with the review for this even though they totally shafted women for their albums list.

not saying i appreciate pitchfork, but just that if they're gonna shaft women on the albums list they might as well mention women a little bit in their reviews. i'm sure they realize this

saw Corridor live last nite. really awesome show and the band really sweats it out on stage and you can tell they're having a blast. make an effort to see them when they inevitably do a bigger tour
