as does the crazy neon green relish

There was a classic car show in the parking lot at work today, they are there every tuesday when the weather is nice. There are two hot dog trucks that compete for business, and as soon as the second truck pulls up, the other guy puts up a special "3 hot dogs for $3." I eagerly wait for the second truck to show up so I can take advantage. He uses Sabrettes.
Nathans are the best when grilled, Sabrettes are best when steamed. There are two brands I really want to try called Hatfields and Vienna, but availability is not easy in Long Island. I saw a new type of Nathans made with angus beef, I picked it up and have yet to try them out.

I'm not one of the meat snobs on this board, but please, ketchup isn't appropriate for hot dogs.

And hot dogs aren't appropriate for people over 20 that aren't drunk and high and partying like they know how to live.

ketchup is fine on a hot dog if the only other available toppings are mustard and relish. mustard and relish alone arent enough
if there are raw onions, its borderline. if theres kraut, fried onions, etc, fuck ketchup
thanks mountain dew

my favorite way to enjoy a hot dog:
my own onions in sauce and brown mustard, on grilled nathans.

I lightly saute diced onions just enough so that they absorb the sauce but are still crunchy. Sauce is basically just a bit of cocktail sauce, texas pete's hot sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and oregano.

I don't really like skinless hot dogs. Aren't they just for children? Applegate Farms makes a great beef and pork dog with lamb casing called the Big Apple Dog. That's generally what I look for in the store.
