i respect the tunings. i wonder if it's annoying to have to switch guitars/alter tunings for every song. i guess it helps that they only have like 12 songs.

they've got like 3 guitars and a bullshit little dude that tunes them accordingly and hands them to em ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

kozelek had to tune a lot when i saw him, but he had a band when i saw him. he's a one guitar fella these days though. i think probably another reason that in the past koz has done different sounding renditions of songs live is bc he didn't want to have to tune his guitar again so he'd just play the song in whatever key he was in.

yeah def- i'd pay a lot... like U$S60... to see and hear the koz complain about my hometown and insult me between songs while he's tuning
mike kinsella as owen does a lot of tunning on stage too tho

mike could've been a notorious pussyhound if he wanted. and he keeps getting better with age! but no he chose the normie life, married a sweet, pretty teacher, had some kids and is too afraid to ride a bicycle now because of responsibilities

I respect Low's dogged commitment to dgdgbd. Chord fingerings in that are hella annoying and awkward, but it kinda gives them their sound. They wouldnt sound like the same band in standard.

The first "indie rock" show I ever went to was an Owen show around the release of the first record. I wanted him to sign my cd (lol), but I was too nervous to go up to him. My girlfriend at the time took it up to Mike and got it signed for me. I shouldn't have let her anywhere that sexy motherfucker. Anyway, he signed it "Dear Steve, stop being such a pussy."
I wonder if I still have that somewhere.
