uni, i think this was a thoughtfully crafted and cool game, but i think the language here (with an additional layer of thematic tone) leaves enough ambiguity to think that they're not related (i.e. inner sanctum = a fanciful way star chamber, not an even deeper secret society)

i don't think it's a huge deal. it kept me on my toes. but i don't think you could have expected a different result based on these descriptions.

universe wrote:Code Name: Ara (Masons)
Those code named Ara are mid-level analysts who were members of the same secret society at their prestigious college. The society is so secret that nobody knows what its name is. Nevertheless, if you say the name, they’ll kill you!

.....

Code Name: The Lincolnshire Poacher (Minion)
Night Action: Transmit [#####]
Each day, the Lincolnshire Poacher fires up his secret, shortwave radio to transmit five numbers (0-9) to the Wolfpack. They are not allowed to contact one another directly, as the Poacher is too close to the inner sanctum of the Star Chamber to risk blowing their cover.

the mechanics were bizarre but the village did not do itself a single favor

i was alive the whole time and my sorcerer role barely made a blip

Now that the game is actually over I would be fascinated to get the full reveal on all the secret clues and mechanics and have the solution to the puzzle if you will

Does it count that I had a mental breakdown immediately prior and was intensive therapy during the duration?

Actually I've been worse off when I wasn't in intensive therapy...*coughThanatoscough*

Aw cat I'm sorry I didn't realize that was the post you were talking about. It wasn't even the late part that I liked so much, it was the out of nowhere vote for Duke and then telling Geoff he had a bad voting record

It wasn't out of nowhere. I wanted duke to post. I would have done the same if I was good, it's not a bad strategy in general to poke quiet players.

But yeah, any time I voted after cut off was because I was detained in therapy and that was the soonest I could post. Sometimes my phone would post immediately after uni closing :((((

But anyway, besides that I thought I didn't do a terrible job all things considered.

Well I did TRY to trigger the honeypot mechanic but you didn't count my vote. :)

I thought I'd be a good trade at that point to both break that tie and confirm some information. Was looking forward to it a little :)

Thanks uni for putting this together, I had a lot of fun on it.

I especially enjoyed the insane parts of the game at the start with bread and the other ghosts clouding the field, as well as the deeper involvement of the items. Having to make the choice of A am I going to use it or pass it and then B having to solve the clue or being provided an item that you had some control over was much more enjoyable than in previous games I've played. Great time

I found this game hard and not that much fun because nobody seemed to know on the village side what the fuck was going on and I was a mere non-special Lepus that nobody really seemed to want to share anything with no matter what I tried to do or who I tried to engage with and then finally when I got the dossier and things were starting to get interesting and was starting to put it to use by pointing out that Narc couldn't be Sagittarius the game was fuckin' over. So yeah, being in the village sucked, I sucked, it wasn't that cool at all. Plus Stakeout was a real dick before we killed him, made me happy when he died even though he was on my team because he was really making it not fun at all.

So, thanks? I guess? I was really looking forward to playing and thought it was a good idea for a game and I hadn't played since WW#4 and thought it would have been a lot of fun. Interesting concept for a WW though universe, I hope you guys have fun when you do it again.
